The Modern Militia Man by Bob Mitzel
I sit here this today in the cold dark New Mexico morning thinking of all the things that I have myself been called, and fellow patriots across this great land of ours called in these recent turbulent times. We have been called Crackpots, Lunatics, Doomsayers, Idiots Criminals and to use the word of the day, Domestic Terrroists. To be fair, there are some out there that call themselves "Militia Members" that may be one or all of the above!
However, I have for many years associated with "Militia Members" in many areas of our fine country and would like to try in my humble way to explain what I see when I look at the "Militia Members" that I have known. I want ot warn the readers now, I do not have the Flowery rhetoric and way with words of some of those that I associate with and that I am proud to call my friends have. I am just hoping that I can do justice to the people that I start to discuss here.
I know that when the word 'Militia" is spoken in regular circles, you see a mixture of expressions from those around from amusement to disgust. That, I have to lay at our feet, we have let that happen from our secrecy and silence some of this is required, but a lot is not. Some of this comes from a natural distrust of those around us, sometimes with good reason. What has happened over the years of doing this however, is that we have let the Government and peoples imaginations dictate what they believe the "Militia Member" is. This generalization is one or more of the previous list for most, we have been portrayed as a two headed monster ready to ravage wives and eat children by our detractors! Once again, we have allowed this picture of us to remain out there for the public to see and remember. Do you every remember seeing a picture of a clean, well dressed, working family man with the caption "Local Militia Member" under it? We both know you never have and you never will, you will see a picture of a como'd wild eyed man brandishing a rifle because it will sell papers, and it would not do for the public to have the picture of a normal family man of us in thier mind the next time the Government wants to rant about the "rabid thugs" that are the backbone of the militia in our country.
I am going to try in my limited way to let the readers of this piece know what I have seen through my eyes over these past many years of dealing with in many ways, and even being myself one of these patriots.
I shouls explain, the even though I will mostly use the male gender in my writings, there are a great many female patriots out there also, and in no way do I mean to slight them in this writing!
I have had the distinct honor to have associated with Militia members, Minute Men, and a whole host of other Patriots for a good many years. Were they all perfect, polite, unswearing people? No, they were not. Were they people who would look you right in the eye as they shook your hand and spoke to you? Those I have dealt with have been, and they as do I myself worry if a person could not do the same. For the most part, these people are God loving Patriots who are sick of what the Government is doing to the country that they love. They are people just like you that have homes and families that they want to come home to at night. They have jobs that they hold, and pay taxes and do the same things that you do on a regular basis. But then, they go the extra mile and they give up the time that they could be spending with thier families to go out and train with thier fellow militia members. These people leave thier warm comfortable homes and go out in the desart, or mountains, or hills whatever type of terrain is near them and train. Now I am sure that at this point some of you are shaking your heads and muttering, sure, they train, with visions of a bunch of guys sitting around a fire with beers in thier hand. Think again, the training is real, I know the next thought had to be training for what? We live in a very unstable world at this time in our history.
Our country is being invaded daily with impunity. Our president does not seem to care that we are rapidly slipping down that slippery slope from "Superpower" to just another name on the map, and by some accounts, he may be helping the process along. We are facing financial crisis, evry country in the world right now is facing economic ruin, and we are painted as the cause of it. Because of this we have some very real concerns that we may be needed to defend our country and our way of life in the same way that the "Militia Members" of our forefathers were needed to help secure our country at the beginning. Think back to the days you spent in history class, we were taught that people laughed and called the original militia names also. Many did not want them around or to associate with them because they did not want to end up on the "LIST" of the day. We look back now and know that if it was not for these people we would not have our great country now. These brave men that listened to thier hearts and did what was needed in spite of the jeers of thier fellow citizens are the reason we can sit here and repeat history. There were approximately 3% that activly fought for our FREEDOM rom England. That is where the term 3 percenters has derived from. There is also a "Battle Flag" designed by a friend of mine that stands out at many gatherings, a thirteen star flag with the roman numeral III in the circle of stars. This is the "Niberg Battle Flag" honoring and remembering that original 3 percent, and was designed by one of the Original Modern Minute Men that patrolled our Border in 2005.
These people do not consider themselves superheroes, but in my mind they do heroic things. They have stood to defend America when others couldn't or wouldn't. The key to this though is that they are common people with concern just like you, as I have previously said, they have homes to take care of, they hold jobs, have families which are near and dear to them. The biggest difference, is the fire in thier eyes and the set to thier jaws when they discuss thier love for this country, thier freedoms, and the fact that they want to make sure that they pass along to thier children and grandchildren the freedoms and love of country that they were given them by thier forefathere, payed for with the loss of thier blood, and to stop the erosion of those rights by self serving politicians out only for thier own gains. Can any less be expected of people today? Unfortunately most people today think the Government will take care of all thier needs and will never let anything bad happen to them. They don't stop to think that the government had a duty to protect those along the border that have been raped and murdered also, but that did not happen! There has always been a certain breed of person that has "marched to the tune of a different drummer" and this is how I see the modern patriots of our great land. They do march to a different tune, but it is a much needed tune for a country in deep trouble from within. I would love to see the blaze of Patrioism and Freedon in every Americans eyes that I see in the Patriots that I have had the HONOR of knowing. I hope that in some small way I have done justice to those people that I have known in this piece. May God Bless America, and Bless the Patriots of all shape, color, and faith that give thier time and love to defend. Last but not least may God bless those that sit at home and wait as we go out and do what we feel we have to, because without thier support this would be an impossible burden to bear!

Apache, Arizona-Our Secure Border by By Ed Ashurst, Apache Arizona
I believe story telling to be an art form, certainly verbal record is the oldest form of recording history and recognized by historians worldwide. There is an old adage among those who love to tell a good tale, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." And yet there are times when the truth is even more fantastic than exaggeration. What I write here is the truth, plain and simple.
I reside on, and manage a large cattle ranch in the far southeastern corner of Arizona. I've been here for 13 years and in that time frame have become far too familiar with the illegal trafficking in human beings, marijuana and other illicit drugs. Some have called it "the wetback culture" or "America's border problem". Lately it's been taking steroids.
The recent murder of Robert Krentz by an illegal alien has received massive amounts of publicity worldwide. I live on the ranch bordering the Krentz ranch to the east and north. I can see the Krentz home looking out of my front door approximately 10 miles away. The day after Rob's death I was involved in tracking the outlaw into Mexico. I saw the outlaw's footprints where he crossed the border fence. I mention this to say I feel that I'm qualified to speak about current border issues.
My home has been broken into twice. My son's home has been broken into also and between us we have had between twenty and thirty thousand dollars worth of stuff stolen from us including two ranch pick-ups, a four wheeler, 9 firearms (including a loaded AK 47) cash, jewelry all of our credit cards, driver's license, etc. A guest house here on the ranch has been broken into so many times we quit counting... many times we haven't even called the Sheriff's dept. The Cochise County Sheriff's dept. has no less than fifteen reports on file where I've called for assistance dealing with an outlaw illegal alien.
Several months ago, not long after Rob Krentz's death, Fox news
(channel 10 in Phoenix AZ) contacted me and expressed interest in coming down and doing a news story about me and the problems myself and other ranchers in this area have had in recent months with illegal outlaws. To prepare for my interview with Fox, I asked for assistance from six other neighboring ranchers and businessmen. All of these men are prominent men in the community, tax payers, business owners and individuals who have the best of reputations. Together we made a map of the area which covered from the southeastern corner of AZ going west about 20 miles to the silver creek area, and going north about 30 miles to the area around the towns of Portal, AZ and Rodeo, N.M. On this map we made marks recording violations to United States law committed by illegal aliens. We did not use government statistics
(we wouldn't know how to get them) but recorded incidents that we knew had happened first hand, many of which we had witnessed. We tried to record only the incidents that have happened in the last several years.
The sum total of what we recorded is this:
The arrest or capture of 40 illegal in one bunch - 40 (we didn't bother with the countless smaller groups
Loads of Marijuana found and captured - 213
Dangerous encounters with illegal aliens - 132 (assault, burglaries, forced entries, etc.)
Dead illegal aliens found by civilians - 16
High speed vehicle chases between dope haulers and law enforcement - 14
Illegal aliens spotted with firearms - 12
Fires started by illegal aliens - 9
Over 1000, 000 acres burned with the cost to taxpayers of $
40,000,000. One fire near Portal AZ in June of 2010 cost $10,000,000. to fight (forest Service estimate)
Outlandish incidents - 4
Example: One bachelor in the Portal area was burglarized around 100 times. He finally took all his valuables and put them in a steel vault and welded the door shut. He then moved out of his house into a shed hoping the illegal aliens would leave him alone. They did not and he finally abandoned his property. Another outlandish event was when outlaws stole a brand new Caterpillar motor grader on the Geronimo Trail east of Douglas, AZ and drove south through the border fence never to be seen again. The grader belonged to Cochise County Hwy Dept.
Financial losses to private sector - $100,000,000.00 (losses in real estate value, personal property, etc., losses in wildlife habitat - immeasurable)
Last but certainly not least, the murder of Rob Krentz, which is right in the center of our map.
Let me put this in perspective. The area I'm talking about is an area that covers approximately 17 or 18 townships with only 20 miles being adjacent to the US - Mexico Boundary. Within this area, there is a population of perhaps
600 people, 90% of which reside in Rodeo, N.M. or Portal, AZ, 30 miles or so north of Mexico. No less than 80% of the people in this area have been burglarized or otherwise molested by illegal aliens. This area is about half as big as the Diamond A ranch or Babbitt ranch in northern AZ, both of which I've been employed on.
I'm sorry to report that this, in my opinion, is the small part of the story. The Mexican-American border has taken a dramatic change for the worse in the last several years. Those of us who live here see it first hand. As early as February of 1999 Sheriff Larry Dever warned me and others at a town hall meeting at the Apache School that the Sinaloa Cartel was moving into the Douglas-Agua Prieta area (Rob Krentz was at this meeting). The cities of Nuevo Laredo, Coahila, Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, and other border towns south of Texas have been controlled by outlaws for years. There is virtually no law enforcement in those places. The law is the law of the jungle. Until the last two years it seemed that Agua Prieta and Nogales were safer places but that has dramatically changed in recent months.
I am personally acquainted with 2 Mexican men, that I know to be honest and trustworthy, who have been involved first hand with Mexican outlaw terrorist acts. One witnessed first hand an execution of several people in broad daylight in Juarez. Several weeks later his daughter witnessed an assassination in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua no less than fifteen feet from where she stood. The other man is a legal Mexican green card holder (who was employed by the Krentz family for years) whose nephew was murdered by cartel members in Sonora. At night people in Douglas are hearing machine gun fire from Agua Prieta south of the border fence.
The Sinaloa Cartel is now putting a stranglehold on Agua Prieta. No more than 2 months ago 8 armed Mexicans were confronted by 2, U.S. Border Patrol agents north of the International Boundary in southeast Cochise County disguised as Federalizes. They were in fact cartel employees armed with assault rifles and automatic pistols. Mexican people that know tell me the situation in Agua Prieta has deteriorated dramatically in recent months. The good people are told to look the other way "or else." Volumes could be written about this subject alone, but I will move on.
You could ask, "So what does this have to do with us living north of the border fence?" Plenty! The situation on the border isn't just about a few workers walking north. It has everything to do with big business. Billions of dollars are being made trafficking humans, drugs, and contraband across the International Boundary. The Sinaloa Cartel, headed by Chapo Guzman and others, is reaping huge profits doing business along the border. The average coyote charges $1500 - $2500 to guide an illegal alien north to find work; usually abandoning them a short distance north of the line. A young man willing to pack dope north can make more than a construction worker or a teacher in the U.S. and only work a day or two a week.
This is not all south of the line. I could take you and show you businesses where checks and credit cards are not accepted and where very few customers walk through the door, yet the owners live in the largest mansions in town and drive very expensive cars. Could there be some money laundering going on? There are only two industries of any significance in Douglas, AZ: law enforcement (Douglas has one of the largest Border Patrol stations in America), and the illegal trafficking of drugs, people, etc. across the border. These two industries feed on each other, and the powers that be seem happy with the situation. Crooked politicians look good to the public when they clean up drunk driving and prostitution, until you find they own bars and whore houses south of the line. These things have happened!
But this, in my opinion, is only the beginning. Chapo Guzman who heads up the Sinaloa Cartel is a multibillionaire. This guy and others like him may be cruel and sinister people but they are also very smart businessmen. They are reaping profits off of the largest tax free unregulated business on the planet. They have so much cash they are befuddled what to do with it all. But they are going to figure it out.
There are rumors that Guzman is financing modern, state of the art feedlots and packing houses in Mexico with plans to overtake America as the Western hemisphere's leading beef producer. This is probably only a small part of his plans. Mexico is a nation rich in natural recourses. Petroleum is abundant and the corrupt Mexican government is in control of all of it. Pemex is the only gas station in town. Pemex, because of the incompetent Mexican government, is broke. Chapo Guzman is at war with the Mexican government and has dreams (not unrealistic) of controlling the entire nation. Think of all of Mexico's natural resources in the control of Chapo Guzman! He already has the most profitable business in the world - selling Marijuana to your next door neighbor. Think what he could do with a tax free unregulated strangle hold on a nation of poor people begging to work for practically nothing.
Do you think that Chapo Guzman and others like him haven't thought of all of this? Do you think that Guzman isn't laughing all the way to the bank as he watches the evening news and hears how the American Government proclaims that the situation on the border is under control? What is going on in northern Mexico is capitalism in its rawest form. They have an untaxed unregulated business making huge profits and they have no plans of closing up shop any time soon. We here in the U.S. are overtaxed, overregulated and being smothered by increasingly intrusive government that makes it hard to do business in a successful manner. You don't have to be rocket scientist to figure this one out.
This has nothing to do with being Republican or Democrat or Latino or White. It has everything to do with being right or wrong. I came from a long line of Democrats. My great uncle was a U.S. Senator for several decades. My grandfather was an attorney, and a Superior Court Judge. I have a 1939 copy of a Time Magazine with his picture when he ran as a Democrat for Congress. The only time in history the U.S deficit was paid off was by a Democrat - Andrew Jackson. John Kennedy announced nearly 50 years ago that America could put a man on the moon and in less than a decade we did it.
I am now a registered Republican, but I'm not a Democrat hater. But, how can the president of the "can do" nation of Andrew Jackson's and JFK's party say we can't seal the border? We conquered Adolph Hitler in World War II, but can't seal the border? We put a man on the moon but can't seal a leaking oil well in less than 90 days? While this is going on we tax and regulate American business with a vengeance that stifles the free market system that has made our country great. While Janet Napolitano announces the border is safer than ever, Chapo Guzman and others pack billions of American dollars south to invest in a tax free market with one of the largest cheap labor force on the planet at his disposal!
I challenge you to come to Douglas, AZ and drive east on the Geronimo Trail, or northeast on US Hwy 80 to places on the map like Chiracahua and Apache. Or go to Rodeo and Hatchita, NM. Go and search out the 5 biggest cattle ranches in the Apache, AZ area and ask them what they think. Go to Hidalgo County, N.M. and ask the ranchers and cowboys there what they are seeing and hearing. Ask the people who we do business with what they think of our opinions. I challenge you to ask the prominent people in this area, who work hard and pay taxes if they agree with Barack Obama or Ed Ashurst when it comes to what is really going on near the U.S.-Mexican border. Unlike Obama and others I don't have to be surrounded by sycophants to make a statement. I purposefully left out the names of those who helped me with my map and the data I collected when preparing for the Fox interview.
In closing I challenge you to look around to see if what I say is the truth. This isn't about a few Mexicans wandering around looking for a job. This is about American civilization going into a time of tremendous change - a building has foundations and walls, maybe the foundation of our country is still strong, I don't know, but the walls have certainly fallen down and the keepers of the house are out to lunch.
When you have time, we think you will want to read this. Everyone living in AZ (and elsewhere) should know what is happening near our borders and near our homes.

He then moved out of his house into a shed hoping the illegal aliens would leave him alone. They did not and he finally abandoned his property. Another outlandish event was when outlaws stole a brand new Caterpillar motor grader on the Geronimo Trail east of Douglas, AZ and drove south through the border fence never to be seen again. The grader belonged to Cochise County Hwy Dept.
Financial losses to private sector - $100,000,000.00 (losses in real estate value, personal property, etc., losses in wildlife habitat - immeasurable)
Last but certainly not least, the murder of Rob Krentz, which is right in the center of our map.
Let me put this in perspective. The area I'm talking about is an area that covers approximately 17 or 18 townships with only 20 miles being adjacent to the US - Mexico Boundary. Within this area, there is a population of perhaps
600 people, 90% of which reside in Rodeo, N.M. or Portal, AZ, 30 miles or so north of Mexico. No less than 80% of the people in this area have been burglarized or otherwise molested by illegal aliens. This area is about half as big as the Diamond A ranch or Babbitt ranch in northern AZ, both of which I've been employed on.
I'm sorry to report that this, in my opinion, is the small part of the story. The Mexican-American border has taken a dramatic change for the worse in the last several years. Those of us who live here see it first hand. As early as February of 1999 Sheriff Larry Dever warned me and others at a town hall meeting at the Apache School that the Sinaloa Cartel was moving into the Douglas-Agua Prieta area (Rob Krentz was at this meeting). The cities of Nuevo Laredo, Coahila, Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, and other border towns south of Texas have been controlled by outlaws for years. There is virtually no law enforcement in those places. The law is the law of the jungle. Until the last two years it seemed that Agua Prieta and Nogales were safer places but that has dramatically changed in recent months.
I am personally acquainted with 2 Mexican men, that I know to be honest and trustworthy, who have been involved first hand with Mexican outlaw terrorist acts. One witnessed first hand an execution of several people in broad daylight in Juarez. Several weeks later his daughter witnessed an assassination in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua no less than fifteen feet from where she stood. The other man is a legal Mexican green card holder (who was employed by the Krentz family for years) whose nephew was murdered by cartel members in Sonora. At night people in Douglas are hearing machine gun fire from Agua Prieta south of the border fence.
The Sinaloa Cartel is now putting a stranglehold on Agua Prieta. No more than 2 months ago 8 armed Mexicans were confronted by 2, U.S. Border Patrol agents north of the International Boundary in southeast Cochise County disguised as Federalizes. They were in fact cartel employees armed with assault rifles and automatic pistols. Mexican people that know tell me the situation in Agua Prieta has deteriorated dramatically in recent months. The good people are told to look the other way "or else." Volumes could be written about this subject alone, but I will move on.
You could ask, "So what does this have to do with us living north of the border fence?" Plenty! The situation on the border isn't just about a few workers walking north. It has everything to do with big business. Billions of dollars are being made trafficking humans, drugs, and contraband across the International Boundary. The Sinaloa Cartel, headed by Chapo Guzman and others, is reaping huge profits doing business along the border. The average coyote charges $1500 - $2500 to guide an illegal alien north to find work; usually abandoning them a short distance north of the line. A young man willing to pack dope north can make more than a construction worker or a teacher in the U.S. and only work a day or two a week.
This is not all south of the line. I could take you and show you businesses where checks and credit cards are not accepted and where very few customers walk through the door, yet the owners live in the largest mansions in town and drive very expensive cars. Could there be some money laundering going on? There are only two industries of any significance in Douglas, AZ: law enforcement (Douglas has one of the largest Border Patrol stations in America), and the illegal trafficking of drugs, people, etc. across the border. These two industries feed on each other, and the powers that be seem happy with the situation. Crooked politicians look good to the public when they clean up drunk driving and prostitution, until you find they own bars and whore houses south of the line. These things have happened!
But this, in my opinion, is only the beginning. Chapo Guzman who heads up the Sinaloa Cartel is a multibillionaire. This guy and others like him may be cruel and sinister people but they are also very smart businessmen. They are reaping profits off of the largest tax free unregulated business on the planet. They have so much cash they are befuddled what to do with it all. But they are going to figure it out.
There are rumors that Guzman is financing modern, state of the art feedlots and packing houses in Mexico with plans to overtake America as the Western hemisphere's leading beef producer. This is probably only a small part of his plans. Mexico is a nation rich in natural recourses. Petroleum is abundant and the corrupt Mexican government is in control of all of it. Pemex is the only gas station in town. Pemex, because of the incompetent Mexican government, is broke. Chapo Guzman is at war with the Mexican government and has dreams (not unrealistic) of controlling the entire nation. Think of all of Mexico's natural resources in the control of Chapo Guzman! He already has the most profitable business in the world - selling Marijuana to your next door neighbor. Think what he could do with a tax free unregulated strangle hold on a nation of poor people begging to work for practically nothing.
Do you think that Chapo Guzman and others like him haven't thought of all of this? Do you think that Guzman isn't laughing all the way to the bank as he watches the evening news and hears how the American Government proclaims that the situation on the border is under control? What is going on in northern Mexico is capitalism in its rawest form. They have an untaxed unregulated business making huge profits and they have no plans of closing up shop any time soon. We here in the U.S. are overtaxed, overregulated and being smothered by increasingly intrusive government that makes it hard to do business in a successful manner. You don't have to be rocket scientist to figure this one out.
This has nothing to do with being Republican or Democrat or Latino or White. It has everything to do with being right or wrong. I came from a long line of Democrats. My great uncle was a U.S. Senator for several decades. My grandfather was an attorney, and a Superior Court Judge. I have a 1939 copy of a Time Magazine with his picture when he ran as a Democrat for Congress. The only time in history the U.S deficit was paid off was by a Democrat - Andrew Jackson. John Kennedy announced nearly 50 years ago that America could put a man on the moon and in less than a decade we did it.
I am now a registered Republican, but I'm not a Democrat hater. But, how can the president of the "can do" nation of Andrew Jackson's and JFK's party say we can't seal the border? We conquered Adolph Hitler in World War II, but can't seal the border? We put a man on the moon but can't seal a leaking oil well in less than 90 days? While this is going on we tax and regulate American business with a vengeance that stifles the free market system that has made our country great. While Janet Napolitano announces the border is safer than ever, Chapo Guzman and others pack billions of American dollars south to invest in a tax free market with one of the largest cheap labor force on the planet at his disposal!
I challenge you to come to Douglas, AZ and drive east on the Geronimo Trail, or northeast on US Hwy 80 to places on the map like Chiracahua and Apache. Or go to Rodeo and Hatchita, NM. Go and search out the 5 biggest cattle ranches in the Apache, AZ area and ask them what they think. Go to Hidalgo County, N.M. and ask the ranchers and cowboys there what they are seeing and hearing. Ask the people who we do business with what they think of our opinions. I challenge you to ask the prominent people in this area, who work hard and pay taxes if they agree with Barack Obama or Ed Ashurst when it comes to what is really going on near the U.S.-Mexican border. Unlike Obama and others I don't have to be surrounded by sycophants to make a statement. I purposefully left out the names of those who helped me with my map and the data I collected when preparing for the Fox interview.
In closing I challenge you to look around to see if what I say is the truth. This isn't about a few Mexicans wandering around looking for a job. This is about American civilization going into a time of tremendous change - a building has foundations and walls, maybe the foundation of our country is still strong, I don't know, but the walls have certainly fallen down and the keepers of the house are out to lunch.

Under the current catastrophic interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment, an illegal alien woman can cross the border, give birth to a baby five minutes laterand that baby is a natural-born U.S. citizen. That allows hundreds of thousands of “anchor babies” born to illegal alien mothers to be awarded automatic citizenship. It’s insane.
The good news: more Americans are becoming educated on this technical issue. According to a Rasmussen Reports telephone poll published last month, 58% (that’s a majority) of U.S. voters "say a child born to an illegal immigrant in this country should not automatically become a citizen of the United States…" Only 33% defend the current status quo.
To everyone’s amazement, even Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and John Kyl have both recently made noises about closing the loophole.
The birthright citizenship scandal can and should be dealt with at both state and federal levels. Bills to rectify the loophole by statute have been introduced into Congress, and should continue to be submitted. State legislators in several states, including the heroic Russell Pearce of Arizona, are also preparing to tackle this issue. The issue could be voted on in state initiatives and lawsuits could also be brought to bear. And, if there’s no other way to rectify it, we should draft a constitutional amendment to eliminate the “Anchor Baby” loophole.
All these reform proposals, even those that fail, keep the issue on the front burner and educate the public. And that’s great.
Automatic birthright citizenship for the infants of illegal aliens is justified by its defenders with the Fourteenth Amendment. Here’s how the relevant part reads:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
Now if original intent means anything, it means that the 14th Amendment was definitely not drafted to provide citizenship to the children of illegal aliens.
It was passed in 1868, and its purpose was to guarantee citizenship for recently freed black slavesnot illegal aliens.

Here’s the relevant part, in both in both the English translation and the Spanish original:
"The Mexicans by birth shall be…The individuals born abroad from Mexican parents who were born within national territory, from a Mexican father who was born within national territory or from a Mexican mother who was born within national territory…The Individuals born abroad from naturalized Mexican parents, from a naturalized Mexican father or from a naturalized Mexican mother…
[Son mexicanos por nacimiento…los que nazcan en el extranjero, hijos de padres mexicanos nacidos en territorio nacional, de padre mexicano nacido en territorio nacional, o de madre mexicana nacida en territorio nacional;
… los que nazcan en el extranjero, hijos de padres mexicanos por naturalizacion, de padre mexicano por naturalizacion, o de madre mexicana por naturalizacion…]
Thus, any child born to a Mexican parenteither mother or father, regardless of whether that parent is a natural-born Mexican or naturalized Mexicanregardless of where he is born, is considered a Mexican.
And Mexican consulates have the authority to issue documentation to children born to Mexicans outside of Mexico, to confirm it.

That means all these anchor babies born to illegal alien Mexican mothers in our hospitals (often at public expense) are entitled to be Mexican citizens.

So why on earth are we declaring them American citizens? According to Mexican law, they are under the jurisdiction of Mexico.
Thank you Mexico, for making that crystal clear!
And it’s not just the Mexican constitution. It’s the behavior of the Mexican government in regularly claiming jurisdiction over children of Mexicans born in the United States. Here are some examples:
1. Ernest Zedillo, president of Mexico from 1994-2000, told the audience at a National Council of La Raza convention in Chicago that "you are Mexicans too, you just live in the United States." Zedillo once declared that "we will not tolerate foreign forces dictating laws to Mexicans," even though he was speaking of Mexican immigrants in the United States.
2. On May 16th, 2002, Mexican President Vicente Fox, in Madrid, Spain, spoke about "large Mexican communities settled in that country [the U.S.], more than 20 million Mexicans…."[ Does Dubya Know About Fox’s Madrid Speech?, VDARE.com, May 29, 2002]
3. On February 26, 2002, the Mexican consul general of San Jose, California, visited a school in Salinas, California, for an observance of "Mexican Flag Day." The Consul General, Marco Antonio Alcazar, spoke to a group of fifth and sixth-graders, the majority of whom were of Mexican ancestry. Alcazar told the students that "This is exciting because there are many children in this city who were born in the United States, whose parents are Mexicans, and these children have the opportunity now to enjoy two different nationalities and be proudly American and proudly Mexican." Following the speech and flag presentation, Alcazar donated two more Mexican flags and Mexican textbooks to the school. 4. U.S.-born dual citizen Juan Hernandez (Mexican father, American mother) served as Fox’s director of the Presidential Office for Mexicans Abroad. Hernandez declared that
"We have recognized that the Mexican population is 100 million in Mexico and 23 million who live in the United States.... We are a united nation."
And, in an interview on the American news program Nightline, Hernandez stated bluntly that
"We are betting that the Mexican American population in the United States....will think Mexico first."

5. During the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, the Mexican government began taking
"....a census of persons of Mexican ancestry who belong to the armed forces of the United States and who are stationed in the war zone..."[ Piden soldados apoyo a gobierno de Fox, El Universal, March 25, 2003]
Later, Mexican Foreign Secretary Derbez announced that Mexico was considering direct negotiations with Saddam’s regime over U.S. soldier prisoners of war who are dual citizens of the U.S. and Mexico!
6. In 2004, the Mexican Senate and the Mexican and American Solidarity Foundation held a conference in Mexico and the theme was "Los Mexicanos de Aquà y de Allá"- ¿Perspectivas Comunes?" ("The Mexicans Here [in Mexico] and There [in the United States]Common Perspectives?").
7. In 2007, in a speech in Monterrey, Mexico, Mexican president Felipe Calderon said that
"…. for my government, Mexico does not end at the border. Wherever there is a Mexican there is the fatherland. That’s why we are acting firmly and with determination to defend the rights and promote the interests of our fellow Mexicans abroad."
8. In 2008, in Dallas, Texas, Calderon spoke to a meeting of the IME (Institute for Mexicans Abroad) a 125-member Mexican-government sponsored group of Mexican leaders in the United Statesmany of whom are dual citizens. The Mexican president boasted that 40% of Dallas’ population is Mexican.
Calderon also endorsed the general Mexican view that children of Mexicans born in the United States are essentially Mexicans with added U.S. citizenship. Near the end of his speech, he said:
"There are Mexicans who are now Americans because they were born here….”
Notice how the Mexican government knowingly utilizes dual citizenship as a tool to further Mexican interests.

To Mexico, Mexicans who move to the United States will always be Mexicanseven if they become U.S. citizens. Children born to Mexicans in the U.S. are still Mexicans according to the Mexican Constitution. And even their descendents are still considered Mexicans.

By denying these alien-parented babies U.S. citizenship, we are not punishing them.
We are not depriving them of anything.

I've been trying to say this since 9/11, but you worry me. I wish you didn't.. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country. But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me.

I can understand the frustration of the gentleman that wrote this essay. I feel the frustration every day I talk to the fine Patriotic Citizens of our country. I am tired of having to alter my way of living for the comfort of those coming into our country, whether leagally or illegally. IF a person wants to emigrate to our country, then they should be prepared to be American. I am sick of hearing I am an African American from a person that has never been more than 100 miles away from thier own front door. I am sure that if they were plunked down in Africa and said have at it, they would have NO IDEA what to do. This applies as well to the Mexican Amreicans that have been born and bred here, if Mexico is so great, I am sure that we can get you back there! In fact, this same TRUTH applies to all those that are in our GREAT COUNTRY, if the place you came from is so great, please feel free to return. If the Islamic countries are so great and Allah provides so well for you, go back no harm, no foul. After America There is No Place to Go

What I am about to tell you is something you've probably never heard or will ever read in history books.
I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide - 98% of the vote.. I've never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.
In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.
Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn't want to work; there simply weren't any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people - about 30 daily.
The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.
We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn't have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria .. We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn't support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.
Hitler Targets Education - Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler's picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn't pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education.
Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun - no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn't exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.
Equal Rights Hits Home:
In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn't work, you didn't get a ration card, and if you didn't have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn't have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.
Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:
When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.
Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:
Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn't meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.
We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.
"Mercy Killing" Redefined:
In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.
The Final Steps - Gun Laws:
Next came gun registration.. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
Totalitarianism didn't come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria .. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn't, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians.
This is an eye witness account. It's true...those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn't have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria .. We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn't support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.
Hitler Targets Education - Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:
Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler's picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn't pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education.
Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun - no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn't exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.
Equal Rights Hits Home:
In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn't work, you didn't get a ration card, and if you didn't have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn't have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.
Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:
When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.
Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:
Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.
As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.
We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn't meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.
We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.
"Mercy Killing" Redefined:
In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.
The Final Steps - Gun Laws:
Next came gun registration.. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
Totalitarianism didn't come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria .. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn't, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians.
This is an eye witness account. It's true...those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity.

SB 510 an Opinion (Author Unknown)
This bill is SO INHUMANE, SO UN-NEIGHBORLY, SO UN-CHRISTLIKE, SO UN-AMERICAN, Are there those within our government dedicated to destroying the moral fiber of our country? Do we think of these things as we send our youth off to war and as we pledge allegiance to our flag? Does the flag still represent the country we want to be proud of? From what source are such laws coming? I would say they are likely originating from the thinking and direction of power-hungry globalists at the top and from outside, working through the environmental movement for implementation.
It gets back to "who are the lawmakers?" We pride ourselves in being a nation of "laws". We are proud of our Constitution
but we have allowed our elected officials to stray far, far away from its principles and protections? We have virtually lost our "balance" of government and power. The law-making which was designed to protect and guide our nation has been taken over by unscrupulous people and organizations (to the point of being subversive and treasonous) operating in opposition to the best interests of citizens.
Congress, the Legislative Branch, is the body assigned to design and pass the laws which are then enforced through the Judiciary. There are those in the Environmental system who pride themselves in now having the power to write and implement the rules and regulations which assume the power and authority of "law". The movement has also taken over judges now ruling from the bench in favor of the environmentalists. This is primarily the sector of the population that can afford the deliberately long, drawn out court procedures. On the other hand it often takes little or no time for green organizations to achieve court settlements quickly and monetarily in their favor. This has now been going on so long that the general public simply accepts it as a fact of life, reacting in frustration, then overlooking it.
The 24 Federal Agencies such as EPA, USFS, BLM, F&W years ago had been granted by our Congress the authority to "administer" their own operations without Congressional oversight. This has evolved basically into law-making capability along with enforcement authority by these agencies. They now often proudly introduce their new regulations and rulings, stating in print, that they can be implemented immediately without going through Congress. The agencies report to the President, which means that the Executive Branch has assumed the power.
The so-called "stimulus" funding was funneled to legal governmental organizations where it was applied to short-term projects and often for employee benefits. Certainly not for investment in the private enterprise, capitalistic "for profit" operations struggling desperately to survive and maintain on-going job-producing production. Big Business and Big Corporations have likewise been taken over by the "green" movement, and they are moving in sync with the financial institutions to see that the natural resources and the wealth of the nation is controlled and funneled through them.
It is the "human" and social element that is being lost. This proposed new law to outlaw the sharing of home-grown food is just one example of the ruthlessness that is being promoted in opposition to humanity. Our values are being destroyed in many aspects. Lifetime allegiance to one business and its goals with dreams of retiring after a lifetime of dedicated service is now gone as people shift quickly from company to company in their own interests. The gold watch is now replaced with barely a hand shake for the devoted employee who walks sadly out the door after 40-50 years of service, to be replaced by a young, cocky MBA. I actually saw this happen and that person died very soon after, possibly with a broken heart, wondering if he had wasted his life and dedication to an employer and the company he loved and supported.
The drive to create successful long-lasting free enterprise businesses is being eroded as we find ourselves in competition with government. The humanous of life is being strangely altered, and we wonder what has happened to our values. We should certainly be wondering what has happened to our own government. Basically with the shift of power in the three branches of our government could we already operating under a ruthless, irreversible dictatorship???

Ass in the Grass A weekend with the Southwest Desert Militia
I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in bivouc with the Southwest Desert Militia. It was a real spirit lifter to see the level of commitment and expenditure of “sweat equity” invested in this units infrastructure and equipment. Operating on private property has allowed the construction of a semi permanent shelter structure, and a well used 100yd firing range.
A short time in company of the SDM will reveal many of the essentials required to build a successful unit. There was a comfortable and easy comrade ship amongst its members with a visible level of cooperation and team work present between all members and between membership and command. Trust was evident in the manner each member handled their own gear and that of others and on many occasions the sharing/lending or giving of various essentials and sundries. Meals were simple, prepared by a couple of members and shared by all. The banter was what should be expected in a military camp mostly cutting, irreverent and unprintable. Endless political talk and latest conspiracy theories were minimal. Each member seemed proud of his involvement and it appeared there was little of ego centric behavior in my observation. There was a general atmosphere of congeniality, cooperation, a willingness to work. Most seemed anxious to get training, receptive to new ideas, comfortable with correction and happy to learn new skills and technique. The group is led by a young, tall warrior with two overseas deployments under his belt as well as participation in mixed martial arts. Call sign “Headhunter” this self effacing young man clearly puts in a tremendous amount of time effort and creativity in an effort to provide a good training experience to his people. His command style is low key, with an easy smile and quiet advice and gentle but effective correction.
The unit is comprised of members from their mid 20’s to age 59. Various degrees of physical fitness are evident , however no one dropped out or stood out of any of the training. All wear identical uniforms and the group has a rudimentary solidarity that can only grow with its level of competence. The commitment to standardization is clearly evident by the uniform assemblage of M-4 type weapons and the painstaking camouflage paint jobs that have been done on all of them.
The training included various immediate action drills. Among these were react to contact to the rear, breaking contact, buddy rushes etc. This unit spends a lot of training time shooting so in addition to the afore mentioned immediate action drills (all done with live fire, there was a relaxing and instructive time spent doing what the group calls a nine hole drill. Obtained from Viking Tactics this drill forces the shooter to engage a one hundred yard target through different shaped and angled holes that require the use of the sights in most uncommon ways. Field training consisted of a day time patrol, with the engagement of 10 targets during the patrol and the added task of locating and defusing a number of trip wires devices they call “claymores”. The Master Sergeant and myself assisted in the placement of these targets and “Claymores” during which time we oriented ourselves to this training ground. Following the completion of this training we had some down time . The night training mission was a repeat of the days mission. Special note should be made of team leader “Gooch” a veteran of the USMC he was experienced enough to utilize his personel well, keep all members of the team engaged in activities that would keep them interested and make them feel vital to the mission.
No unit is perfect, but whatever problems I encountered are the kind that will iron themselves out a as SKILL ,WILL, and TEAMWORK increase. Special thanks to Shepherd and Lo Phat for the invite and hats off to this whole unit for the work you’ve done and your dedication to the cause of Liberty. The M/Sgt. and I were welcomed to the exercise, made to feel a vital component of the ex and walked out with the new Nickname of “the Geezers”. I drove nearly 300 miles and this weekend will cost me In excess of two hundred dollars ( Gotta add that twenty-five dollar fine I will be paying my unit for forgetting to bring….my combat boots,, yeah I know I know just how dumb are ya?) But both time and Money were well spent.

Mexico Security Memo
The Arrest of Carlos Montemayor
Mexican Federal Police arrested Carlos “El Charro” Montemayor Gonzalez and five accomplices in an operation in the Santa Fe neighborhood of Mexico City the night of Nov. 23. Montemayor was reportedly the No. 2 man in the criminal organization led by Edgar “La Barbie” Valdez Villarreal. In addition to being business partners, the two reportedly became related by marriage after Valdez Villarreal wedded one of Montemayor’s daughters in 2003 in Acapulco, Guerrero state. After Valdez Villarreal’s arrest in late August, Montemayor reportedly took over the organization. As leader, Montemayor focused primarily on the port of Acapulco and on wresting control of the region away from the Cartel Pacifico Sur (CPS) and La Familia Michoacana (LFM). Most notably, Montemayor allegedly ordered the October kidnapping and execution of 20 tourists from Michoacan. According to Ramon Eduardo Pequeno Garcia, the head of the Federal Police Counternarcotics Division, Montemayor confessed he mistakenly thought LFM sent the group in a bid to take control of the Acapulco region.
Montemayor’s arrest is a damaging blow to the Valdez Villarreal organization. He is the third high-ranking leader in the organization to have been arrested after Valdez Villarreal and Jose “El Indio” Gerardo Alvarez Vasquez in April. The Valdez Villarreal faction of the former Beltran Leyva Organization (BLO) already had limited resources, especially in the leadership department, when the group defected and began fighting against the Hector Beltran Leyva faction of the BLO (later renamed CPS). His arrest does not bode well for the organization’s claim on the Acapulco region, and it is unclear who, if anyone, will replace Montemayor.
After his arrest in August, reports emerged that Valdez Villarreal had been an informant for the Mexican government since 2008. He reportedly revealed the location of his former boss, Arturo “El Jefe de Jefes” Beltran Leyva, leading to the latter’s death in a Mexican Marine raid in December 2009. Valdez Villarreal also is thought to have given Mexican authorities information on several other high-ranking cartel members. Information from Valdez Villarreal also could have led to the arrest of Montemayor.
With yet another empty spot atop the Valdez Villarreal organization, the other two primary organizations, CPS and LFM, in the Acapulco region likely sense an opportunity to move in. This could once again lead to an increase in violence as these two organizations attempt to push the remnants of the Valdez Villarreal organization out of the region and vie with each other for supremacy.
The Arrest of Arturo Gallegos
Federal Police arrested Arturo “El Farmero” Gallegos Castrellon, the presumed leader of the Los Aztecas street gang, and two other members of Los Aztecas in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua state, the night of Nov. 27 in a residence in the Paseos del Bosque neighborhood. Los Aztecas are aligned with the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes (VCF) organization, also known as the Juarez cartel, and its armed wing, La Linea. All are fighting against the Sinaloa federation and its local Juarez street gang allies, the Artistas Asesinos and Los Mexicles. Gallegos, known for his violent tendencies, allegedly has confessed to being responsible for 80 percent of the murders and executions in Juarez — a staggering claim given that Juarez has seen more than 2,700 murders to date in 2010. The most notorious of this year’s killings included the shootings of 14 teenagers at a party in January and of U.S. Consulate employee Lesley Enriquez in March.
Gallegos claims to have ordered or signed off every single execution carried out by Los Aztecas. The Los Aztecas gang is structured in a very hierarchical manner, making it likely that someone within the organization will replace Gallegos (assuming they have not already). It remains unclear who Gallegos’ replacement would be, nor is it clear whether Gallegos’ low threshold for ordering executions will remain in place. During this transition period, the group will likely be somewhat exposed. As new chains of command are put in place, confusion within the group could emerge, along with a perception of weakness by the group’s rivals. This confusion and perceived weakness quickly could escalate into violence — especially if Sinaloa and its street gang allies attempt further inroads against Los Aztecas and its VCF allies.

- Eight people were injured when a group of people in a car being chased by gunmen crashed into a store in northern Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state.
Nov. 23
- An unidentified gunman shot and injured a ministerial police officer during an attempted arrest in Metepec, Mexico state. The suspect and three other people fled aboard a taxi.
- Two state security agency agents opened fire on each other in the Ciudad Satelite neighborhood of Naucalpan, Mexico state, after a personal dispute. One of the men was killed and the other was injured.
- Police arrested Carlos “El Charro” Montemayor Gonzalez in the Santa Fe district of Mexico City. Montemayor is the suspected successor to alleged drug trafficker Edgar “La Barbie” Valdez Villarreal.
Nov. 24
- Soldiers in Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon state, arrested four suspected cartel lookouts after being followed by three unidentified vehicles.
- Soldiers in Patzcuaro, Michoacan state, dismantled two methamphetamine labs. No arrests were made.
- Police in Tijuana, Baja California state, arrested five suspected kidnappers and freed four kidnapping victims, including a woman who had been beaten and held for approximately a week.
- Authorities discovered seven bodies in a grave near the municipalities of Abasolo and Villa de Casas, Tamaulipas state. Some of the victims bore signs of torture and others had been shot.
Nov. 25
- Police in Ixtapaluca, Mexico state, arrested a woman suspected of leading the “Las Pumas” criminal group, which is believed to cooperate with LFM.
- Police arrested 13 people during a traffic stop in the Cumbres San Angel neighborhood and a raid in the San Bernabe neighborhood of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state.
- An unidentified gunman killed a Federal Electricity Commission employee at a bar in Guadalajara, Jalisco state. The suspect reportedly shot the victim in the head after arguing with him.
Nov. 26
- Mexican soldiers seized approximately 4 tons of marijuana from a smuggling tunnel in Tijuana, Baja California state. After the seizure, U.S. authorities found approximately 13 tons of marijuana on the U.S. side of the border.
- Unidentified gunmen freed two suspected members of the Valencia cartel being transported by prison guards in the municipality of Tonaya, Jalisco state. Four guards were killed during the attack.
- The body of a kidnapping victim seized in October from a Red Cross clinic by unidentified gunmen was discovered in Los Huizaches, Sinaloa state. The victim had been taken to the clinic after having been shot.
- Unidentified gunmen killed a used car salesman in Molocotlan, Hidalgo state, after kidnapping him in Zacualtipan. The victim was shot twice in the back. Police fired on the suspected kidnappers in the municipality of San Felipe Orizatlan, but no arrests were made.
Nov. 27
- Soldiers in the municipality of Jiutepec, Morelos state, arrested a close associate of the suspected chief of the CPS gunmen. The suspect, identified as Jesus Radilla, is accused of being involved in approximately 200 murders.
- Unidentified attackers threw a grenade at a security forces headquarters in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state. No injuries were reported in the attack.
Nov. 28
- Soldiers in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state, shot and killed one suspected criminal and injured another during a firefight. The soldiers reportedly came under attack while investigating reports of gunshots in the area.
- Banners hung by unidentified people in Acapulco, Guerrero state, accused suspected drug trafficker Carlos Montemayor Gonzalez of mistakenly ordering the deaths of 20 Michoacan tourists in Acapulco. The banners were signed by the Independent Cartel of Acapulco.
- Police in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua state, arrested Arturo Gallegos Castrellon, the suspected head of the Los Aztecas criminal group.

Missouri Ahead of the Game in Dealing with Illegal Immigrants

We’re down to one week to go in the legislative session and bills are moving through the process at a remarkable pace. My goal is to keep you updated on all the pieces of legislation that may be of interest to you and your family. In the coming weeks, I hope to do that. However, this week I want to talk about an issue that Missouri has already addressed in a variety of ways – the issue of illegal immigration. I’m sure you’ve seen the headlines about Arizona’s new law aimed at dealing with those who enter our country illegally. It has been called the strictest immigration law in generations. While Missouri hasn’t gone to the same lengths as Arizona, our state has made significant policy changes that effectively deal with illegal immigrants who enter our state. Because of those changes, Missouri is ahead of the game when compared to many other states that are now dealing with this issue.
In 2007, the Missouri General Assembly approved HJR 7 to place on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri. Voters then went to the polls and approved the measure with nearly 90 percent voting in favor. With that, English became the official language for all governmental proceedings in Missouri. It also means no individual has the right to demand government services in a language other than English. A common language is the cornerstone of a cohesive and united state and country. Ensuring that English is our official language is simply common sense.
Another measure that directly addresses the issue of illegal immigration was passed in 2008. HB 1549 requires our Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be here illegally. It also allows Missouri law enforcement officers to receive training to enforce federal immigration laws. Furthermore, the bill makes it clear that illegal immigrants will not have access to taxpayer benefits such as food stamps and health care through MO HealthNet. With the passage of this legislation, Missouri sent a clear message that illegal immigrants are not welcome in our state, and that they are certainly not welcome to receive public benefits at the cost of Missouri taxpayers.
2009 saw another significant piece of legislation passed dealing with illegal immigration. HB 390 ensures Missouri’s public institutions of higher education do not award financial aid to individuals who are here illegally. The law also requires all postsecondary institutions of higher education to annually certify to the Missouri Department of Higher Education that they have not knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States. The bill represents another common sense approach to the issue as it ensures taxpayer dollars are not used to subsidize the education of someone who is in our country illegally.
So while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it’s important to remember Missouri has been proactive in addressing this growing problem. The laws we have on the books help ensure the rights and benefits of Missourians are preserved for actual Missouri citizens. It’s also important to remember that this country has always opened its arms to immigrants, which is why our nation is often referred to as the great melting pot. Immigrants from all parts of the world have helped make our country what it is today. However, our doors are not open to those who try to live in our country illegally. I believe Missouri’s laws make that very clear and give our law enforcement officials the authority they need to deal with the problem.

Mexican Mayor tells US; Stop sending violent Mexicans back to Mexico, do something else with them!
RWBNews: A Mexican Mayor is blaming the US for escalating drug-cartel violence because Mexican citizens that commit violent crimes in the US are being sent back to their homeland of Mexico. The Mayor wants the US to make ‘other’ arrangements for the violent criminals and not repatriate them to Mexico. In a flabbergasting request, a coalition of Mexican lawmakers has asked the United States to stop deporting illegal immigrants who have been convicted of serious crimes in American courts.The preposterous demand was made at a recent southern California conference in which the mayors of four Mexican cities that border the U.S. gathered to discuss cross-border issues. The only American mayor who attended the biannual event wasSan Diego’s Jerry Sanders, evidently because his city hosted it this year at a fancy downtown hotel.
Among the cross-border topics that were addressed at the conference was the deportation of Mexican citizens who have committed violent crimes in the U.S. The felons are persona non grata in their communities, say the mayors of Tijuana,Ciudad Juarez, Nogales and Nuevo Laredo. They want U.S. officials to stem the deportation of such convicts to their cities, according to a local newspaper report that covered the conference.
To support the request, the mayor (Jose Reyes Ferriz) of Mexico’s most violent city, Ciudad Juarez, pointed out that of 80,000 people deported to his community in the past three years nearly 30,000 had committed serious crimes in the U.S. Around 7,000 had served sentences for rape and 2,000 for murder. The criminal deportees have contributed to the escalating drug-cartel violence in his city, Mayor Ferriz said, so he wants the U.S. to make other arrangements when prison sentences are completed.
If this seems unbelievable, consider that a few years ago Mexico’s government formally complained that too many Mexicans had been repatriated from the U.S. and that the entire country was overwhelmed with demands for housing, jobs and schools. Various Mexican legislators publicly chastised the U.S. for sending illegal immigrants back, explaining that the country could not accommodate the “repatriated.”
The Obama Administration seems to be heeding to Mexico’s request by openly halting the deportation of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. Additionally, the administration has a backdoor amnesty" plan to legalize millions of undocumented aliens in case Congress doesn’t pass legislation to do it.
